Today during our functional language arts/functional communication time we learned about Skype. We prepared some questions for one of our peers who graduated last year, Ann Marie Gardner. She is currently a freshman at Penn State. We brainstormed types of questions that we could ask her. Earlier in the week, we drafted some emails to some of our other peers who have moved on from Hershey High. Today during Functional Language Arts we had a lesson on determining the best subject line for an email. Here is a small piece of our Skype conversation:
We also had some fun with iMovie today. Everyone has been working hard on creating their Back to School iMovies for 2014-15. Mrs. Roberts and I were so excited at how awesome their videos turned out. This activity incorporated both functional writing and communication. Subscribe to our YouTube channel to view the videos we made. Hopefully you can click the link below and subscribe to the channel, Erin Wrenn.

What a fun time talking with Ann Marie today. You guys asked really great questions, and I know she was so excited to hear from you. Let's start thinking about what questions we can ask her the next time we talk.
ReplyDeleteAnd I was beyond impressed with the final products from our back to school activity. You guys blew me away with the way you organized your thoughts, communicated what was needed within the project, and selected pictures to match. Way to go!!!
