Vocational Skills in Action!
Today we discussed our work program which will be starting in October. We are using Google Calendar to manage all of our outings. Students will be able use their google accounts to access the classroom calendar, thus being able to share with parents from home. Everyone is very excited to start their work placements. Community businesses who will be participating this year will include: Babe's Grill House, Pronio's Market, CATRA, The City Islanders, Derry Preschool, Derry Township District Office, Sandy's Breads Bakery, Central PA Food Bank, and Love Inc. Tim is participating in a work experience in the High School Cafeteria doing food prep. He has picked up the new jobs quickly and is really enjoying the experience. What are you looking forward to with the start of our work program?

I really like working in the Cafeteria because it keeps me occupied. I really like working with the food and the workers.
ReplyDeleteI am look forward to working at the Derry Preschool, I am looking forward to seeing my old teachers again. I am also looking forward to working at Babes grill house. I am looking forward to helping with the dishes. I have always liked the automatic dishwasher. It is going to be a fun new experience.
